Position Overview:


Under the guidance of the Sr. Director, Quality Systems, the Sr. Manager, Quality & Food Safety, takes a hands-on approach to oversee and support quality, Certification ID Logistics (CID), and food safety processes and initiatives at their assigned U.S. sites. The Sr. Manager has a flexible leadership and communication style that enables effective collaboration with both US and site leadership, as well as site-level employees. The Sr. Manager works independently and is thoughtful, resourceful, and creative in their approach. The Sr. Manager promotes the ID Logistics quality, CID, and food safety culture by actively seeking to understand the needs, operations, and limitations of their assigned sites while driving efficient and manageable processes. The Senior Manager applies ID Logistics' quality vision, philosophy, and mission in their daily work.


 


Work Location: Remote when not on company travel


Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 1st shift


Travel: 60-70% and could include any site assigned within the USA (sites will change as we continue to grow)

Key Responsibilities:



  • Serve as subject matter expert and primary resource for quality, CID, and food safety in the US

  • Support their assigned sites as they implement and maintain their Quality System, including driving compliance with corporate procedures.

  • Provide direct support in developing, implementing, and maintaining quality, CID, and food safety programs, with potential on-site support as needed.

  • Ensure renewals of federal, state, and local licenses and registrations for sites that handle regulated products.

  • Administer the corporate-level quality program training to site management, including new hires.

  • Work one-on-one with sites to develop, track, and improve upon the site-specific internal quality KPIs, and work with sites to renew them annually to drive improvement.

  • Support the site-specific Management Review process for assigned sites, including attending the site-specific management review meetings

  • Drive CAPA investigations and oversee CAPA execution at assigned locations.

  • Contribute to the Change Management Team for site-related projects.

  • Assist in managing the corporate Document Management System, including writing, revising, and approving corporate procedures and forms.

  • Ensure the effective roll-out of new or updated processes across all sites.

  • Adhere to corporate and site-specific GMPs, reporting and correcting noncompliance where applicable.

  • Comply with company safety standards and correct observed noncompliance.



Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience as a Quality Manager in food or pharmaceutical manufacturing, with a proven record of developing and managing quality systems in a regulated environment across multiple sites
  • Internal ID Logistics candidates must have current experience in a Quality Manager role supporting multiple sites within the ID Logistics organization
  • Bachelor's degree in science, quality or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Certifications: FSMA - PCQI, HACCP/HARPC, Certified Food Defense Coordinator
  • Experience with GFSI (FSSC22000/SQF/BRC), and cGMPs related to human and pet foods
  • Proficient in managing 3rd-party audits and regulatory inspections
  • Ability to effectively lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Highly organized, with the capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Extensive experience with Quality problem-solving methodologies such as CAPA, root cause analysis, and risk assessments
  • Ability to travel domestically up to 60%

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Pest Control or ASQ certification
  • Experience with accountability for overseeing food safety and quality across multiple sites
