Position Overview:
The Operations Supervisor plays a key role in managing their team's workflow by assigning tasks, supporting staff, monitoring results, and reporting to senior management. They ensure safety and efficiency by improving processes, setting team targets, and acting as a link between employees and upper management. Supervisors are also responsible for coaching and resolving issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Management:
- Oversee daily activities such as inventory management, shipping/receiving, and material handling.
- Develop schedules, assign tasks, and monitor work to ensure productivity and efficiency.
- Manage operational budgets and meet customer requirements.
- Training & Compliance:
- Ensure staff complete necessary training (e.g., OSHA compliance).
- Maintain records for audits (OSHA, customer, and others).
- Customer Satisfaction:
- Understand customer expectations to meet or exceed satisfaction levels.
- Address and resolve customer complaints, both verbal and written.
- Team Leadership:
- Set performance goals and deadlines aligned with company plans.
- Monitor employee productivity and provide constructive feedback and coaching.
- Maintain timekeeping records and manage payroll inputs for hourly staff.
- Handle disciplinary actions when needed, adhering to company policies.
- Safety & Compliance:
- Enforce company safety standards and report non-compliance.
- Manage workplace accidents, including reporting, investigations, and injury management.
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following legal regulations.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) with some college level study is required.
- 2+ years experience in a supervisor warehousing role.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree strongly preferred.
- Microsoft Office Suites experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
- Lean six sigma experience a plus
- Inventory experience a plus
- Third Party Logistics (3PL) experience a plus
