Job Description: Lead MHE, Rail Responsible for providing direction to one or more Forklift Operators/LTO, training, assigning work, and resolving problems within area of responsibility. Operates gasoline-, liquefied gas-, or electric-powered industrial equipment equipped with lifting devices, such as sit-down, standup, clamp or other elevating equipment to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment, or materials from rail cars in distribution center or storage yard. Friday- Sunday 7A-7PM Responsibilities: * Supports and trains newly hired forklift operators within their area of responsibility. * Assists supervisors and management of the facility in planning, assigning, and directing work * Load, unload, move, stock, and stage products and materials using powered industrial equipment. Maintain equipment and materials in a neat, clean and orderly fashion. On a daily basis, inspect assigned equipment. Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods and OSHA standards. * Operate sit down forklift in and out of a rail car. Requires the ability to open and close rail car doors safely and safely work within a confined space. * Unload inbound shipments safely and move product to storage locations. Efficiently stack and store product in the appropriate areas. * Pull and prepare products for shipment, ensuring the exact number and types of products are loaded and shipped. * Efficiently move product from staging and/or storage areas into rail cars, trailers, or containers. * Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage. Report quality variances. * Keep appropriate records and reports to guarantee that tight inventory control and security are maintained. Assist in physical inventories. Ensure proper stock rotation. * Follow customer requirements and/or other instructions to ensure accuracy: load count, stability of product, and that all products are loaded and unloaded safely. * Coordinate as necessary with all other departments/functions, especially Customer Service, Transportation and Maintenance. * Perform good housekeeping practices, clean as you go process. * Conduct operations and equipment in a manner that promotes safety and report unsafe conditions that can’t be self-corrected to the leadership team. * Follow corporate and site-specific Good Manufacturing Practices and report noncompliance when observed. * Observe all company safety rules and assist in enforcement as appropriate. * Other duties as assigned Safety of our associates has always been Our #1 priority. Benefits: * Medical, Dental, Vision (after 60 Days) (Options available) * 401K with matching program Schedule: Fri-Sun 6:00am- 6:30pm Hourly Rate: $23 plus 1.50 shift differential * High School Diploma, or GED. * Electric Pallet Jack Operator experience, 2-year minimum. * Ability to lift and move 50+ lbs. * 1 year of experience in a warehousing/distribution environment. * Ability to stand, walk, bend, extend, reach, and twist for long periods of time. * Follow all standards of PPE in the distribution center: for example, wearing steel toed shoes, safety glasses, safety vest or any other standards provided by site leadership. * Have a safety-first attitude. A successful Sit-Down Forklift Operator will be responsible for unloading and loading all inbound and outbound products, along with moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting Pay Rate: $21 an hour plus $1 Benefits after 60 days! Benefits: * Medical, Dental, Vision (Options available) * 401K with matching program * STD, LTD * Vacation and sick time * Friendly and Open Door culture Schedule: Fri-Sun 6:00am- 6:30pm Mon- Thu 4:30pm- 3:00am Hourly Rate: $21 plus 1.50 shift differential weekend, and $1.00 shift differential for second weekdays #IND123 * High school diploma or general education degree (GED); one or more years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. * Forklift Operator with rail-specific experience. * Must be able to successfully complete post-hire assessments. * Must be able to obtain and maintain equipment certifications (e.g. OSHA, company, etc.). * Must be able to wear personal protective equipment appropriate for the work environment (e.g. protective footwear, protective eyewear, gloves, etc.) in accordance with safety policies.
