Description

Ingram Content Group (ICG) is hiring a Senior Software Engineer. This individual is responsible for Leadership role in small to midsize projects, analysis and design of new or improved systems, and ability to deal with complex development issues such as multi-platform development, and project delivery. This position will require 3 days in the office and 2 days remote per week, candidates must be in or willing to relocate to the Nashville, TN region.

The ideal candidate will have the following minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field or directly related experience.
  • 6+ years of experience in IT related programming
  • 5+ years' relational database experience
  • 3+ years of experience in designing business processes, services, maps, cross references and trading patterns in Sterling Integrator (SI

We have a preference for:

  • Knowledge of Sterling Integrator
  • Knowledge of Mainframe Zseries, IBMi and Java are a plus
  • Knowledge of DB2, Oracle and SQL
  • Ability to be flexible/multi-task based on workflow demands
  • Ability to develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with others, and maintain them over time
  • Ability to exercise effective judgment, sensitivity, creativity to changing needs and situations

The Senior Software Engineer's key responsibilities are:

  • Develops, tests, and implements new computer programs.
  • Works closely with client resources to assist in application workflow, corrective planning   and execution.
  • Designs Business Processes (BP) in Sterling Integrator (SI).
  • Designs new EDI maps as needed for client integrations.
  • Creates SI customer interfaces.
  • Supports user/customer community to capture system requirements.
  • Works with multiple internal teams.
  • Manages projects that require work from others.
  • Creates project plans and manipulates the key factors (time, resources, and functionality) to offer alternatives to project sponsors.
  • Communicates project status and issues.
  • Defines methods and processes for application development.
  • Enforces good development practices.
  • Investigates new technologies and new techniques.
