**Position Overview:**
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Maintenance Director Assistant to support our Maintenance Director in the execution of daily operations, project management, and overall maintenance activities within the organization. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational skills, strong communication abilities, and a solid understanding of maintenance practices.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Assist the Maintenance Director in planning, organizing, and overseeing maintenance projects and services.
- Coordinate and schedule maintenance staff and contractors to ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance requests, work orders, and inventory of maintenance supplies.
- Help develop and implement maintenance programs, policies, and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities and equipment to identify maintenance needs and safety concerns.
- Respond to maintenance emergencies and assist in troubleshooting issues as they arise.
- Prepare reports on maintenance activities, including metrics on productivity and downtime.
- Facilitate communication between the Maintenance Director, staff, vendors, and other departments.
- Assist in budget preparation and monitoring expenditures related to maintenance operations.
- Continually seek opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction in maintenance activities.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations within maintenance operations.
**Qualifications:**
- High school diploma or equivalent; further education in maintenance management or a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience in maintenance operations or facilities management, preferably in a supervisory or assistant role.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in using maintenance management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to maintenance work.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle emergencies effectively.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to various sites as required.
