Your impact 

Provide tax analysis and support for VAT compliance and planning, including VAT audit

What you will do 

  • Coordinate the VAT filing & reporting and provide data to our third party providers
  • Validate proper treatment and compliance of all accounting transactions
  • Collaborate with relevant departments to include treasury, global supply chain and accounting for proper consideration of corresponding transactions
  • Identify opportunities to recover VAT
  • Reconcile accounts (general ledger versus tax returns reconciliation)
  • Prepare journal entries related to VAT return filing and payment activities
  • Assist with the design and implementation of procedures to reconcile monthly, quarterly, and annual activity related to various tax filing requirements
  • Support Audit

 Your required experience/skills  

  • 4 Year College degree degree in Accounting
  • At least three (3) years of recent, relevant accounting that includes VAT experience 
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite 
  • Familiarity with EU aVAT
  • Effective English language skills both written and oral
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple and/or competing priorities
  • Hands-on experience preparing journal entries related to VAT return filing and payment activities
  • Need to be able to assist with the design and implementation of procedures to reconcile monthly, quarterly, and annual activity related to various tax filing requirements

Your success in this role will look like: 

  • Strong collaborator and teammate with the ability to  to work independently
  • Analytical skills

It would be nice if you had: 

  • Familiarity with Innovate tax application or other software such as Oracle Fusion
  • Experience setting up e-invoices
  • General ledger accounting 
  • Familiarity with  Asia, Latin America  and Canada VAT treatment
  • French language skills both written and oral
