What are we looking for?

The Experienced HMAC Field Technician (II) is responsible for performing a variety of construction materials testing, project specific observations and site assessment duties under general supervision and/or from detailed controlled procedures.  Level 1 Hot Mix Asphalt Certification is required.

What you'll do:

• Operate testing equipment and conduct materials testing and provide assessment of data through reporting
• Utilize drawings, specifications, and diagrams to complete work
• Maintain and calibrate standard equipment
• Maintain detailed documentation and data from test results
• Train other Technicians
• Communicate effectively with client and project teams

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Level 1A Hot Mix Asphalt Certification (HMAC) 
• Valid driver's license and reliable driving record is required
• Ability to lift, move, push and pull 30 to 50 pounds frequently; Occasionally, over 50 pounds with assistance
• Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, (hearing) and to make the discriminations in sound
• Ability to kneel and squat occasionally
• Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time
• Ability to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions, including hot and cold temperatures
• Ability to climb occasionally, and work at various heights
• Ability to work over night hours and off shift

Preferred Requirements & Qualifications:

• 2+ years' related field and/or lab technician experience is preferred
