What are we looking for?
The Inspector, Field Evaluations - Electrical position is responsible for the evaluation of products and machinery on client site. This individual will inspect the product ensuring it conforms to the appropriate standards and local regulations. This position will travel at least 75% of the time. This is a remote position; however, applicants must reside in and be able to legally work in the United States.
Shift/Schedule: This is a salary position working as business needs dictate.

What you'll do:
- Inspect equipment under test (EUT) on site validating they meet the applicable regulatory requirements
- Perform tests and measurements on products as required by applicable standards
- Make judgements regarding product compliance in terms of applicable standards
- Record ambient conditions at job sites
- Apply labels to products that meet requirements
- Interface with customers and Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ's), review non-conformances identified
- Provide internal and external updates on project status
- Maintain records of inspection conforming to organizational quality system requirements
- Document corrective actions to products, including photographing non-compliances
- Create reports summarizing the results of the inspections to clients and AHJ's
- Communicate with clients and AHJ's
- Perform other work as required
- Keep all information confidential to each client

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in technical field or equivalent in terms of education and experience
- 5+ years of experience
- Knowledge of National Electric Code (NEC)
- Practice basic electrical safety procedures.
- Must have a valid driver's license and reliable driving record
- Ability to travel 75% time, including air and overnight travel
- Valid driver's license and reliable driving record
- Ability to climb up stairs/ladder, carry 35 lbs., and stand for 4+ hours.

- Ability to work in fast-paced, multi-tasking environment with shifting priorities and demanding deadlines

- Ability to communicate and interact effectively in verbal written and presentation formats
- Must possess the fundamental technical and administrative skills required to perform the job duties

- This is a remote position; however, applicants must reside in and be able to legally work in the United States.
- Applicants will be required to complete an I-9 to verify their eligibility to work in the U.S.
Preferred Requirements & Qualifications:
- 10 years direct experience
- City Inspector/AHJ experience
- IAEI membership
