What are we looking for?

Intertek Alchemy is actively seeking a Sr React Native Mobile QA Engineer to join an energetic and collaborative Mobile Team in Austin, Texas.  This will be an exciting opportunity for you to be an innovative QA Engineer, walking alongside our team on a journey of technology decisions and product improvements, working from the ground up! As a Sr React Native Mobile QA Engineer, you will be involved in the entire software development process to ensure the quality of the final product. The successful candidate will possess personal characteristics and career experience that demonstrates a combination of technical and analytical skills, the ability to use data and statistics to drive operational improvement, a desire for continuous learning, and a relentless determination to enhance the user experience for customers by ensuring quality products are delivered.

Responsibilities:

• Provides input throughout the mobile application development lifecycle
• Participates in daily stand ups & grooming, works with scrum team on projects, and supports delivery timelines and priorities
• Actively work with the Agile team throughout the testing life cycle
• Acts as an end-user representative for the product
• Lead integration testing strategy and automation into the mobile development pipeline 
• Implement the automation testing framework for the mobile project using CodeceptJS
• Understand, develop and execute test plans/cases for automated and manual testing by working closely with developers and architects to understand the changes
• Takes ownership of problems and issues, proactively works with the Agile Team and business stakeholders 
• Drive operational excellence by focusing on continuous improvement efforts
• Mentor other QA engineers within the project

Requirements:

• 5+ years of QA with test automation experience
• Working experience testing mobile native or cross-platform apps
• Experience in UAT, regression, performance, systems, and exploratory testing
• Experience with Agile (Scrum) Methodologies and Quality Assurance's role/responsibilities within it
• Demonstrate strong leadership and interpersonal skills with excellent written and oral communication skills
• Experience in API testing
• Experience with test automation tools such as CodeceptJS, Selenium, Appium, Postman or equivalent
• Experience with defect tracking software, and SQL Databases
• Knowledge of offline mobile capabilities, mobile pipelines, and WebView
• Knowledge of at least one programming language commonly used in mobile app development, such as Java, JavaScript or C#
