Job Description: Accounting Clerk I
POSITION OVERVIEW
As an Accounting Clerk I, you will be responsible for managing various tasks related to accounts payable, accounts receivable, and filing. Your role will be critical in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of financial transactions. You will use your strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to analyze discrepancies and maintain precise financial records, making you a key team player within the company.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Accounts Payable:
- Process vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy and proper authorization.
- Verify purchase orders, receipts, and payment terms to ensure compliance.
- Prepare and process payments for vendors, including checks and electronic transfers.
- Maintain accurate records of accounts payable transactions and resolve discrepancies as needed.
- Process incoming customer payments, including checks, credit card payments, and bank transfers.
- Record payments in the accounting system and ensure proper allocation to customer accounts.
- Monitor aging accounts receivable and follow up on overdue payments.
- Prepare and send customer statements and invoices as required.
- Record previous year's 2024 recordables and enter data into QuickBooks Online.
- This is a part-time position with only 20 hours per week.
- Hours are flexible and the position can offer a hybrid work arrangement.

- Advanced in Account Payable
