Pay:  $19.00/Hour
Schedule:  8:00am - 5:00pm Monday thru Friday

What's a typical day as an Accounting Specialist? You'll be:
• Maintaining and auditing the accounts payable system.
• Reconciling and balancing credit card purchases.
• Assisting with the monthly maintenance of outstanding purchase orders and open invoices.
• Maintaining office filing.
• Auditing and preparing invoice entry for petty cash receipts.
• Auditing travel expense reimbursement forms.
• Certifying expenditure requests and monitoring funds available.
• Preparing adjusting entries for expenditure accounts.
• Providing information to independent auditors and consultants as requested.
• Reviewing and auditing all Collector check refunds.
• Performing daily and monthly tax reconciliation with Collector's office.
• Recording sewer payments and reconciling distribution.
• Preparing monthly audits for assigned County offices.
• Performing cash counts as needed.
• Assisting with additional tasks such as receiving guests/phone calls, maintaining office supply inventory, assisting others with workload, assisting others with questions and troubleshooting ERP system issues, and generating electronic reports from the ERP system.
 
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
• Have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• Have at least one year of experience performing accounts payable, auditing, or related tasks.
• Are proficient in personal computer, word processing, and spreadsheets.
• Are familiar with the principles of Open Book Management.
