Description

Analytical Lab Technician

We are looking for a contractor with a minimum of a high school diploma with 2-5 years' experience in a related field.  Specific hands on experience in at least one analytical technique (HPLC or GC) is essential and prior experience in a laboratory setting is preferred.   

The candidate will perform hands-on experiments in a lab setting as needed. Candidate will be required to follow the safe lab practice, keep and maintain accurate laboratory records.  Daily work includes but not limited to formulation physical properties characterization (pH, particle size, solids content), and analytical sample preparation and analysis.
 
Responsible as principle analyst for generating and reporting of analytical and physical/chemical data in support of shipping certifications for manufacturing. 
 
Top 3 most important success factors for candidate selection:

•          Selected candidate will likely have 2-3 Years hands on experience using analytical equipment such as a GC
•          A candidate with previous success using a high level of attention to detail and critical thinking ability will be successful in the role.
•          Candidate selected for this position will display strong communication skills and a high level of work ethic.  Should possess an ability to discuss success in a teamwork environment.

Preferred qualifications:
•          Prior experience in physical and chemical characterization (e.g. FTIR, GC, HPLC, or GC/MS, etc.) is preferred;
•          Good computer skills preferred, and excellent written and verbal communication skills, and problem-solving skills required;
•          Must have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with cross functional teams and ability interface with critical lab services such as analytical, maintenance, etc.

Education:
Required – High School diploma
Preferred:  Recent college grad; Chemistry discipline.
