Job Requirements

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required.

• Experience:

  • 4 years of experience in an avionics/electrical career field, or

  • 2 years of accredited schooling in aviation electronics plus 2 years of related experience.

• Licenses/Certifications (Preferred):

  • A&P (FAA Airframe and Powerplant) License

  • FCC Certification

  • NCATT Certification
     

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate technical skills and expertise in avionics and aircraft systems operational testing and troubleshooting.

  • Install and functionally test electrical/avionics components and systems per engineering specifications, drawings, and maintenance manuals.

  • Ensure quality and efficiency of all installations; troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning systems in a timely manner.

  • Repair or replace defective components and wiring using proper techniques (splicing, soldering, pinning).

  • Perform and comply with engineering changes and modifications.

  • Set up and operate test equipment; conduct functional and operational tests to evaluate performance and reliability.

  • Additional Functions

  • Support aircraft certification and final phase testing, including flight tests when required.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Other Requirements

  • Preferred proficiency in troubleshooting additional aircraft systems (hydraulics, landing gear, flight controls, environmental controls, or structural repairs).

  • Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and schematic diagrams.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Physical requirements: must be able to climb stairs and ladders, work in confined spaces, and lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Ensure all work is properly documented and ready for inspection.

  • Test and maintain test equipment, electronic systems, and components.

  • Comply with FOD, tool control, 5-S, and safety regulations.

  • Adapt to sudden schedule changes.
