Job Requirements

Education: High School Diploma or GED required.

Experience:
-
4 years of experience in an avionics/electrical career field, or
-
2 years of accredited schooling in aviation electronics plus 2 years of related experience.

Licenses/Certifications (Preferred):
-
A&P (FAA Airframe and Powerplant) License
-
FCC Certification
-
NCATT Certification
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
-
Demonstrate technical skills and expertise in avionics and aircraft systems operational testing and troubleshooting.
-
Install and functionally test electrical/avionics components and systems per engineering specifications, drawings, and maintenance manuals.

Ensure quality and efficiency of all installations; troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning systems in a timely manner.

Repair or replace defective components and wiring using proper techniques (splicing, soldering, pinning).

Perform and comply with engineering changes and modifications.
-
Set up and operate test equipment; conduct functional and operational tests to evaluate performance and reliability.

Support aircraft certification and final phase testing, including flight tests when required.

Perform other duties as assigned.
- Other Requirements

Preferred proficiency in troubleshooting additional aircraft systems (hydraulics, landing gear, flight controls, environmental controls, or structural repairs).

Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and schematic diagrams.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Physical requirements: must be able to climb stairs and ladders, work in confined spaces, and lift up to 50 lbs.

Ensure all work is properly documented and ready for inspection.

Test and maintain test equipment, electronic systems, and components.

Comply with FOD, tool control, 5-S, and safety regulations.

Adapt to sudden schedule changes.
