Job Title: Assembler
Salary Range: $16.00 – $20.00 DOE
7-3:30 M-F
Location: East Syracuse
Summary/Objective:
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Assembler to perform various tasks involved in the assembly of machined component parts. The ideal candidate will follow instructions and established procedures to ensure the production of high-quality units in a safe and efficient manner. Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret assembly instructions, blueprints, diagrams, and parts lists.
- Gather and prepare materials, tools, and subassemblies to begin the assembly process.
- Measure and align parts precisely to ensure proper fit and function.
- Select or modify components based on specifications and measurements.
- Use hand and power tools (cordless drills, insertion tools, air drills, etc.) to assemble complex units.
- Inspect completed parts for quality, accuracy, and conformance to specifications.
- Maintain assembly equipment in proper working condition.
- Report equipment malfunctions or defective parts to supervisor.
- Maintain detailed and accurate production logs, counts, and records.
- Support organizational goals by being flexible and proactive in performing additional tasks as needed.
- Follow all safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment.
- Practice good housekeeping and maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Support and adhere to the company's ISO quality management system and use of the Syteline MIS system.
- Maintain consistent on-time attendance and uphold company standards of conduct.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 6 months experience in assembly or manufacturing preferred.
- Familiarity with hand tools and measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, verniers, and gauges.
- Ability to read and comprehend blueprints, diagrams, and job instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
- Effective communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
- Ability to sit or walk for extended periods.
- Capable of grasping, manipulating, reaching, and stooping.
- Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds as needed.
