JOB DESCRIPTION


JOB TITLE:  Coupling Assembler  
Updated 2-2024


JOB SUMMARY:  Perform a variety of repetitive processes using varied machines and/or hand tools to complete the assembly and /or sub-assembly of component parts to achieve a finished coupling assembly.  May be assigned to various hand assembly, pressing, swaging, plating, brazing and or cleaning of component parts.  Visually inspect parts as processed.  Proceeds on assignments with a minimum supervision and/or direction.


JOB DUTIES:
 

  1.  Identify tooling and equipment necessary to perform assigned operation.
 
  1.  Follow start up and shut down procedures on all equipment, monitor and adjust equipment as necessary and record same.
 
  1.  Using a variety of different ways or means, move materials as required.
 
  1.  Perform various assembly or sub-assembly processes including but not limited to ringing, naming, and hand assembly.
 
  1.  Maintain records relating to production, downtime, quality, maintenance, etc.
 
  1.  Ensure that all quality standards are met by visually inspecting work and/or with    measuring devices.
 
  1.  Recognize operating irregularities and machine malfunctions and make corrections or notify the proper person to correct.
 
  1.  Perform rework as necessary.
 
  1.  Perform machine set-up as required.
 
  1.   Instruct and train assigned operators on work tasks, safety procedures, proper use of equipment and the importance of performing to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 quality standards.
 
  1.  Perform preventative maintenance on equipment as required.


 
  1.  Meet or exceed production requirements or notify Team Lead or Manager of reason for deviation from standards.
 
  1.  Work safely at all times and comply with safety regulations regarding the use of protective equipment and devices.
 
  1.  Keep work area, equipment, machines, etc. clean and orderly at all times.
 
  1. Perform necessary computer transactions in various computer applications and software programs.
 
  1.   Offer suggestions for improving productivity, process, safety, or work environment
 
  1.   Perform other miscellaneous job assignments and related functions as directed by Team Lead, Manager or other designated person.
 
  1.   Must perform as a team member with the willingness and attitude to work with others to resolve problems.  Must also maintain a good working relationship with others within the organization.


QUALIFICATIONS:
Requires the use of shop math, and the use of judgment to plan, perform, and make decisions as to the sequence of processes using standard methods and procedures.  Previous manufacturing experience preferred. Must be able to lift 35 pounds and stand for a duration of time. Team attitude essential.
