Assembly Operator


Shift: 2nd Shift – Sunday to Thursday, 10:00 pm to 6:00 am
Pay Rate: $19.80/hr

Position Summary

This is an entry-level Assembly Operator role responsible for supporting production activities, performing quality inspections, and ensuring equipment is prepared and operating correctly. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, motivated, and capable of working effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Primary Responsibilities

• Prepare machines and equipment for daily production use
• Perform routine quality checks and verify product compliance with established standards
• Communicate promptly with set-up personnel, technicians, or supervisors when issues arise
• Use inspection tools and complete required quality documentation independently
• Perform visual inspections and utilize measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and optical comparators
• Identify defects, complete defect documentation, and follow escalation procedures
• Follow blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, and written instructions accurately
• Maintain attention to detail while performing repetitive tasks and adhering to process requirements

Education & Experience Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience
• Experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred
• Mechanical aptitude and experience working with tools or mechanical systems
• Proficiency using inspection equipment (calipers, micrometers, optical comparators)
• Demonstrated ability to interpret inspection data
• Basic computer navigation and data-entry skills
• Ability to read and write in English

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry at least 30 lbs safely and reliably
• Ability to push/pull up to 180 lbs with a hand dolly
• Repetitive hand work; tasks rotate daily
• Frequent standing, sitting, walking, and balancing for 8–10 hour shifts
• Ability to work in an uncontrolled climate (may include excessive heat)
