Kelly Services is hiring an Assistant Operation Manager for our client in Honolulu, HI. This is an excellent contract-to-hire opportunity for a motivated and experienced professional looking to contribute to a thriving organization.
The Assistant Operation Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient and effective operation of the branch office. This role involves managing daily office operations, supporting organizational goals, and fostering a productive and positive work environment.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee daily office operations, including managing sales and purchase orders.
- Implement strategies to optimize branch performance under the direction of branch leadership.
- Train, orient, and onboard new employees at the branch.
- Serve as a liaison between sales, logistics, and office staff.
- Prepare and submit reports for city, county, state, and federal compliance.
- Lead physical inventory processes, resolve discrepancies, and analyze results.
- Contribute to staff recruitment, interviewing, and retention efforts.
- Provide suggestions for budget management and operational improvement.
- Support import-related administrative tasks and customs clearance processes.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or equivalent preferred.
- 3+ years of office environment experience, with 1+ years in people management.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word) and Oracle ERP systems.
- 6+ month of experience as an Operation Supervisor.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong knowledge of office management principles and HR practices.
- Excellent time management, interpersonal, and team-building skills.
- Effective analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to mentor and evaluate employees, resolve work-related issues, and manage multiple priorities under time constraints.
- Proficiency in English (spoken and written).
- Successful completion of a background check and drug test.
