What a typical day as an Associate Business Analyst might look like:
The Business Operations Intern supports the Chief Financial Officer by assisting with Accounts Payable, ad hoc financial analysis, financial reporting and general data entry.
Further, this role will provide administrative/office support to the Administrative Coordinator, including but not limited to basic reception/office support, assistance with projects, events, inbound/outbound product shipping, among other business admin related tasks.
Self-motivation is key for this position along with the ability to thrive in a team atmosphere.
Processing of inbound A/P (i.e. data entry).
A/P tracking and execution.
Back Up Reception duties (answer and direct calls, deliver messages, distributing Mail).
Organization of office areas; Scanning and filing.
Assist in event planning.
Other duties as assigned.
Physical receivals of incoming packages (primary to answer the door)
Receiving Inspection, scan pack-slips, properly organize scans and document as per standard operation procedure.
Assist with Advanced Inspection/delivery to requestor
Customer deliveries
Supplier Returns/Shipping
Manage, organize and prepare outgoing shipments
Inventory Counts; Assist in managing inventory in office & shop
Inventory organization/Kitting
Other duties as assigned

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
Minimum 1 year post secondary education
Attention to detail a must.
Introductory coursework in Finance and Accounting and/or previous work experience
Must be able to tape, weigh, and lift packages up to 30 pounds.
Must possess strong problem-solving and communication skills
Strong computer skills to include heavy work with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet Explorer.
Professional demeanor.
An attitude and commitment to be an active participant of our company culture is a must.
Experience using UPS, FedEx, DHL, and other courier services.
General knowledge/interest of engineering, chemistry or optics a plus.
A “can-do”, positive attitude.
Adaptable. Thrives in a dynamic, rapidly changing, high growth environment.
Strong customer service orientation with a high standard of excellence.
Self-motivated, inherently curious and driven to achieve.
Equally effective working in a team or independently.
An interest in physics, chemistry, sensors or spectroscopy is a plus.
