Exciting Opportunity: Experienced Automation Engineer
Are you an experienced Automation Engineer looking for a chance to make a significant impact? Join our team and become a key player in an exciting new project development launch for a prominent healthcare client. You will work on a program that makes a difference to our team, our customers, and their patients!

As an Automation Engineer, you will support the synergy between Plastic Injection Molding machines and both directly and indirectly connected Automation Cells. Your role will encompass end of arm tooling (EOAT), robots, and automated assembly machinery. You will also provide training and contribute to process improvements at our manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a role model for safety practices and professional behavior.
  • Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
  • Follow gowning procedures to maintain Clean Room standards.
  • Install robots, program EOAs, and set up automation systems for new tools or processes.
  • Collaborate with OEMs and customers to implement Automation Cells, conduct and document test cases, FATs, SATs, and engineering studies.
  • Troubleshoot and improve press robot issues.
  • Perform robot preventative maintenance and repairs.
  • Maintain spare parts inventory for Automation and robotic Cells.
  • Quote and order parts for repairs and maintenance.
  • Support Automation cell production by troubleshooting, resolving technical issues, and documenting activities.
  • Conduct training and develop work instructions.
  • Assist and train other Automation technicians.
  • Document daily tasks using work order systems.
  • Communicate repairs and adjustments to the Automation team.
  • Continuously seek and promote quality improvements.
  • Ensure equipment safety before line startups and identify unsafe equipment.
  • Master all areas of the quality system.
  • Set up robots, EOAT, conveyors, de-gators, and secondary equipment.
  • Perform other assigned duties.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required; completion of an accredited technical college or university program in a related field is preferred.
  • 2-5 years of experience in a related field is preferred.
  • Experience with conventional manufacturing equipment such as milling machines, lathes, saws, and hand tools.
  • Toolmaker/Machine Builder experience is a plus.
