Bookkeeper – Property Management/Real Estate firm
Location: Syosset NY 

Open to fulltime – flexible work schedule
Pay: $28-$33 per hour

No health insurance does offer paid sick/vacation/holiday

Our growing property management client is seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper with strong QuickBooks skills to manage day-to-day accounting functions. You'll play a key role in keeping our financial records accurate and organized while supporting smooth operations for our properties and tenants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate financial records for multiple properties using QuickBooks.
  • Record and reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
  • Process rent payments, late fees, and security deposits.
  • Prepare and send monthly owner statements and financial reports.
  • Reconcile bank and credit card statements.
  • Track and manage vendor invoices and payments.
  • Assist with budgeting, expense tracking, and cash flow monitoring.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
  • Support the property management team with ad-hoc accounting needs.

Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in property management or real estate.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks (Desktop or Online).
  • Strong knowledge of accounts payable/receivable, reconciliations, and basic financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general computer skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and handle confidential information.
  • Familiarity with tenant and owner accounting processes.
