We are looking for a Cabinet Finisher II to join our team within the wood fabrication and finishing department. - Preparation & Finishing: Prepare furniture for finishing using blueprints and engineering drawings
- Quality Repairs: Repair and polish surfaces both in the shop and on aircraft
- Tool Utilization: Use a variety of sandpapers, polishes, adhesives, sprays, and hand/power tools
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety regulations, using personal protective equipment, and maintaining clean workspaces
- Material Tracking: Use systems to track parts demand and sign-off on work
- Collaborate with technicians to improve processes and reduce costs using Lean Six Sigma
- Perform various other duties as assigned
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required
- Experience: Two years in wood finishing; aerospace industry experience preferred
- Skills: Knowledge of cabinet finishing processes, ability to read engineering specifications
- Physical Requirements: Climb ladders, lift up to 40 lbs, and work in restricted areas
- Tech Savvy: Must be computer literate
- Work in the specialized GAC Savannah facility
- Weekend day shifts (5:00 AM to 5:30 PM)
- Exposure to various environments within the manufacturing setting
