Description

Employment: Contract – 3 months  

Shift: Monday to Friday, 7:30AM to 4:00PM 

Pay Rate: $24/hr 

Summary of responsibilities:  
The Accounts Receivable Associate supports the Finance Shared Services team by accurately applying customer payments and reconciling accounts to ensure timely and precise cash flow reporting. This position requires strong Excel skills, attention to detail, and experience handling large volumes of B2B transactions using ERP and customer portal systems.  

 

Responsibilities:  

  • Reconcile daily bank deposits and update missing remittance details for proper posting. 

  • Work with internal teams (Collections, Sales, Customer Service) to resolve unapplied payments, short pays, or discrepancies. 

  • Obtain remittance information through customer portals (e.g., Ariba, Coupa, Taulia). 

  • Process month-end netting, offsets, and adjustments as needed. 

  • Maintain organized payment files and support monthly reporting requirements. 

  • Ensure compliance with internal financial controls and company accounting standards. 

  • Apply customer payments accurately across multiple accounts, ensuring data integrity within the ERP system. 

 

 

 

 

 

Must-haves:  

  • 2+ years of cash application or accounts receivable experience in a B2B environment (not banking). 

  • Intermediate Excel skills — including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, and handling large datasets. 

  • Experience using ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics AX, Great Plains, or similar). 

  • Strong communication skills and accuracy under deadlines. 

  • Ability to work 100% onsite in Tampa, FL. 

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED). 

Nice-to-Haves: 

  • Familiarity with customer portals such as Ariba, Coupa, or Taulia. 

  • Prior experience in a shared service or manufacturing environment. 

  • Understanding of general accounting principles and reconciliation processes. 

  • Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills. 

  • Positive, team-oriented attitude with strong organizational habits.
