Description

Kelly Science and Clinical is currently seeking candidates for a Chemical Operator position at a specialty chemical company in Shreveport, LA. The Chemical Operator is responsible for receiving raw materials, manufacturing products, shipping products, maintaining all required records, and loading/unloading trucks.

Additional Job Responsibilities:

  • From control room, produce batches and transfer raw material / finished goods to storage tanks
  • Load/unload tank trucks using the plants automated system
  • Perform chemical blending with reaction process with strict adherence to engineering principles and safety regulations
  • Load/unload package and bulk trucks via forklift
  • Operate the automated tote filler
  • Perform SAP transactions and data entry with inventory management
  • Participate in the Incident Investigation process and near miss reporting
  • Complete General Safe Work Permits for maintenance work orders
  • Practice safe work habits and adhere to safety procedures and housekeeping guidelines
Job Requirements:
  • High School diploma required
  • AS degree in Process Technology / higher level of education is preferred
  • Previous oil field or chemical related industry preferred
  • Be available to support plant activities by working weekends or holidays when required
  • Possess good oral and written communication skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • Be a team player who can interface well with all levels of employees
The work schedule for the position requires that candidates be willing to work Monday through Thursday, 6am-4pm or 6am-6pm based on business needs. This is a long term contract assignment with a pay rate is $18 per hour. If you meet the above qualifications, please submit your resume for immediate consideration. #P1
