Clinical Education Specialist (Remote)
Kelly Outsourcing Consulting Group has an opening for a Clinical Education Specialist for a long-term engagement at one of our Global medical device clients.  The role is eligible for medical benefits, paid time off including vacation (PTO), and holidays, 401K, and annual performance reviews. Location:

  • Remote Employee – Preferred locations Chicago, IL or Irvine, CA
  • 70% travel weekends included.
Pay is $40-44 an hour
Responsibilities:
  • Product, Clinical, and Disease State Knowledge: Demonstrate working knowledge and understanding of the safe and efficacious use of specific sub category. Understanding of surgical procedures across several specialties, relevant disease states and appropriate product application.
  • Training: Demonstrate solid presentation skills to support Clinical Education Specialists during product in-services on animate, inanimate, cadaveric and other simulated models.
  • Program Development & Execution: Support the  Clinical Education Specialist to meet learning objectives, hands-on education development and execution, and other clinical needs. Manage priorities effectively, acting with speed, flexibility and accountability to achieve goals.
  • Partnerships: Demonstrate strong capacity to interact, dialogue and facilitate all levels of both internal and external customers in the Johnson & Johnson Institutes and in the field. Collaborate with Professional Education across all levels, creating effective solutions to support the education business plan. Build and maintain partnerships with stakeholders and facilitate key relationships with facilities and third-party vendors.
  • Business Acumen: Facilitate the business requirements into Clinical Education strategy and plans.
  • Customer Insights:  Acquire and translate customer insights to the broader organization as it relates to unmet needs and future educational and product offerings.
  • Market and Industry Knowledge: Understand and apply market, industry, competitor, and health care compliance, legal, and regulatory knowledge. Understands the external marketplace including competitor offerings and strategy, changing stakeholders, and applies knowledge to support the Clinical Education offerings.
  • Project Management: Support Clinical Education projects through application of customer insights and strategic planning to support and implement new education modalities. Contribute to innovative and viable products, service and/or solutions adding value. Know and follow policies and procedures related to work activities performed in area of responsibility.
  • Assure paperwork and procurement of laboratory supplies for all practical labs are maintained to level requirements
  • Lab support for off-site events
  • Assure all laboratory equipment is setup, cleaned, sterilized, packed-up and put away or shipped out to Buyer's standards
  • Assist with ordering and positioning cadaveric tissue when needed
  • Data gathering for lab support
  • Lab set-up
  • Conduct lab instrumentation inventory prior to all lab setups
  • Receive, unpack and repack equipment for off-site activities.
  • Assist attendee's gown up
  • Ensure lab procedures and rules are followed
  • Ensure consistent lab experience.
  • Support the lab with equipment requests when applicable
  • Compile post-lab paperwork
  • Assist with equipment request
  • Know and follow policies and procedures related to work activities performed in area of responsibility.
  • Complete training in area of responsibility within allowed time-period.  Training is required for changes in existing policies and procedures, for new assignments and for implementation of new policies and procedures.  Complete required periodic re-training in areas such as safety and environmental compliance and specifically identified product training by Clinical Education Specialist.
  • Follow all company safety policies and other safety precautions within work area.  Promote safety to all associates that enter work area.  Follow Health Care Compliance guidelines as well as follow operating room training and safety standards (Bloodborne pathogens training, etc).

Minimum Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum 6 years experience in a business environment – preferably Healthcare Industry or Clinical Setting
  • Operating Room or Healthcare Professional facing experience is preferred
  • Education and/or Training experience is preferred
