Description

PURPOSE – 
The CNC Engineer acts as a service organization to the local Production Units in KGA with focus on production support and manufacturing process development.
The CNC Engineer works in close cooperation with other departments and with project leaders to follow the overall project plans.
ACCOUNTABILITIES – 
The CNC Engineer is responsible for defining the overall manufacturing process for standard production, including development of drawings for manufacturing equipment and specifying equipment requirements.

  • Improve manufacturing process.
  • Perform documentation for CNC to material BOM in SAP.
  • Follow the ECO/MCO process and time lines.
  • Participate in project meetings and follow project plans.
  • Close cooperation and alignment with NPI, process leader and production.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Critical Knowledge and Qualifications: (what the role holder must know; including any required general or professional qualifications/education)
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Proven and documented industrial engineering skills.
  • Proven understanding of qualification and validation procedures.
Critical Skills/technical know-how: (what the role holder must be able to do)
  • Experience from ISO programming CNC-machines.
  • Experience from 2d and 3d CAD program.
  • Deep understanding of product specification tools: Bill of material, routing, drawings, tolerances, etc.
  • Good knowledge in MS Office and preferably in SAP.
  • Experience from Lean and Six Sigma approaches.
  • Manage different analytical and statistic tools.
Critical Experience:
  • Experience from production engineering in regulated industry, such as medical.
  • Bachelor of Science with a major in engineering or equivalent, eg. many years of experience in engineering.
  • Proven understanding of qualification and validation procedures.
  • Experience from ISO programming CNC-machines.
  • Experience from 2d and 3d CAD program.
  • Experience from CAM programming.
  • Experience from NC programming of TB-DECO
CRITICAL SUCCESS FACTORS AND KEY CHALLENGES – additional factors that describe complexity of the role / critical requirements for successful role performance
  • Act as coordinator for manufacturing of standard operations article.
  • Participate in pre study analysis to determine cost/benefit ratios and risk potentials for optimization projects.
  • Develop drawings for manufacturing process equipment.
  • Create equipment lists and related manufacturing process requirement specifications.
  • Document and carry out shop floor implementation tests for new manufacturing processes, documenting results in Technical reports.
  • Constantly provide production with feedback aiming at harmonizing and improve manufacturing processes.
  • Meet objectives and timelines outlined by Project Management. Communicate all aspects of project tasking in a professional manner to all Team members and management to facilitate corporate objectives.
