Kelly, in partnership with a growing manufacturing company, is looking for a Maintenance Technician in Bolingbrook, IL! This role is only open due to a retirement!

This is a direct hire role meaning you will be hired permanently with our client and offered their benefit and vacation package upon hire!

Details:
  • 5:00 am to 1:30 pm Monday through Friday
  • Pay: $30 - $45 per hour based on experience plus quarterly bonuses
Job Description:
Under the direction of the Operations Manager, the Maintenance Technician performs general maintenance, repair and upkeep to equipment, building and the facility grounds. These responsibilities will be performed in accordance with company guidelines, policies and procedures.
 
  • Performs general maintenance and repairs on office, manufacturing and lab facilities, to include access and overhead doors, dock equipment, and other building system equipment, ventilation, water heaters, plumbing, lavatories, etc., and basic electrical repairs.
  • Performs minor repairs and preventive maintenance according to procedures on dust collection units, air compressors, lift trucks, production machinery & equipment such as manual lathes & mills, CNC lathes & mills, press brakes, pneumatic shears, rollers, MIG/TIG welders, drill presses, pneumatic tools, etc., to ensure minimal downtime of machinery and equipment.
  • Manages facility and manufacturing services such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, waste & recycling, metal recycling, machinery services, compressed air, outside contracting etc.
  • Monitors inventory of maintenance and cleaning supplies and reorders as needed.
  • Monitors recycling activities for paper, cardboard, and metal according to procedures.
  • Monitors and supports compliance with the appropriate disposal of all chemical, hazardous and non-hazardous waste.
  • Develops and maintains a preventative maintenance program that includes a scheduled downtime plan for all critical machinery to promote uptime.
  • Participates and supports company event set-up and teardown
  • Completes and maintains all required paperwork, records, documents, etc.
  • Follows and complies with all safety and work rules and regulations.
  • Maintains and supports departmental housekeeping standards.
  • Completes and supports special projects as assigned.
  • Performs any other associated job-related duties as assigned by management.

Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent and 3-5 years of experience or a combination
  • Experience maintaining CNC Lathe's, Mazaks – ideally some experience operating machinery.
  • Basic Math skills
  • Knowledge of how to read blueprints and schematics
  • Basic understanding of electricity, pneumatics, hydraulics, plumbing, ventilation, and mechanical operation.
