Job Title: Maintenance Worker – CNC Maintenance Technician
Location: Houston, TX 77040 (Northwest )
Schedule: Mon-Fri 8am-5pm 
Pay Rate: $35 hr
Employment Type: [Full-time | Temp-to-Hire 

Position Summary:

Valco is seeking a skilled CNC Maintenance Technician to join our maintenance team. This role is responsible for the repair, maintenance, and performance testing of CNC machinery and other equipment across our machine shops. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical and electronic systems, with the ability to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain complex machinery to ensure maximum productivity and safety.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform diagnostics and repair on CNC and other industrial machines

  • Replace or repair malfunctioning components and defective parts

  • Disassemble equipment to identify issues and perform needed repairs

  • Inspect and test machinery using diagnostic tools and operator feedback

  • Reassemble equipment after inspections and repairs

  • Clean, lubricate, and adjust machinery to ensure proper function

  • Operate machines after repair to verify functionality

  • Record all maintenance activities, including parts used and issues diagnosed

  • Order replacement parts and maintain necessary inventory levels

  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Strong understanding of CNC machines and mechanical/electrical systems

  • Skilled in reading blueprints, schematics, and maintenance manuals

  • Knowledge of electronic systems including circuit boards and chips

  • Ability to analyze machine diagnostics, error codes, and operator feedback

  • Capable of working independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong problem-solving and documentation skills

Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to frequently lift, push, or pull objects weighing 50 lbs or more

  • Able to stand, bend, kneel, or climb as required to perform maintenance tasks

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Minimum of 3 years of related experience in industrial or CNC machine maintenance
