Job Title: Accounting & Collections Specialist
Location: Santa Ana, CA | On-Site
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 8 AM–5 PM
Pay Rate: $30.00–$32.50 per hour

As a Collections and Accounting Specialist, you will:

  • Conduct outbound B2B collections calls to manage past-due accounts professionally and effectively
  • Accurately assign AR invoices to customer accounts and resolve billing inquiries with speed and accuracy
  • Review contracts and account history to ensure billing and collections align with agreed terms
  • Analyze account data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for resolution
  • Prepare and manage lien notices, lien waivers, and related documents to protect company rights and ensure timely payments
  • Ensure compliance with state-specific lien laws and track lien deadlines and releases
  • Negotiate and structure payment plans while promoting positive client relationships
  • Collaborate with internal departments and external customers to resolve issues and ensure contract compliance
  • Support team goals and take ownership of special projects across departments
What You Bring
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 3–5 years' experience in collections, billing, AR, or customer account support (experience in construction or medical billing a plus)
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and analytical skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365, Salesforce, TCR, or Great Plains preferred
  • High attention to detail and the ability to prioritize in a deadline-driven environment
  • A positive, assertive, and customer-focused attitude
