- Perform inspections on commercial and residential buildings under construction or repair to ensure compliance with building codes and ordinances.
- Make recommendations to contractors, engineers, and architects regarding necessary changes in plans.
- Maintain accurate and current inspection records.
- Prepare reports and ensure project requirements are met and compliant.
- Drive to and inspect various job sites throughout the State of Florida.
- Oversee maintenance of company vehicle and adhere to driving laws.
- Attend department meetings and support business needs with flexible schedules.
- Have a valid Florida Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.
- Can pass background check screening per Florida's Jessica Lunsford Act.
- Possess ability to perform physical tasks like driving, standing, walking, climbing, and lifting up to 75 lbs.
- Thrive in outdoor environments, handling adverse weather conditions.
- Are comfortable working varying shift schedules, including overnight and weekends if necessary.
