Kelly Services is seeking a dynamic and organized Custodian to join a dynamic food supply company in Saint Joseph, MO

Custodial Position
Location: Saint Joseph, MO 64507
Shift: 2:30 AM - 11:00 AM
Pay Rate: $16.70/hr

Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and improvement of a master sanitation program and procedures.
- Exhibit good verbal communication skills to communicate with all departments and coworkers, alerting management of problems or needs to ensure continuous operations.
- Understand and follow department procedures for the proper use of equipment.
- Utilize HACCP philosophy and procedures in everyday work routine.
- Properly follow and record or sign off master sanitation schedule and food safety inspections.
- Operate a forklift safely.
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) for handling and storage of food products, reporting any known or observed violations to management.
- Adhere to all GMP cleanup procedures.
- Understand and follow all waste and sanitation policies regarding safety/emergency, conduct, maintenance, sanitation, and current procedures designed for the department.
- Possess knowledge of all raw materials.
- Perform nonessential functions as required.
- Adhere to all quality systems and sanitation department SOPs, including an understanding of the plant Quality Policy and procedures.
- Perform confined space entries to clean vessels as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of six months previous custodial experience.
- Ability to operate moderately complex cleaning equipment.
- Capacity to stretch and bend to perform duties adequately.
- Comfortable working in an office/plant environment 100% of the time.
- Ability to lift up to 55 pounds.
- Completion of hazardous materials training required due to exposure to cleaning materials.
- Must wear appropriate clothing, safety glasses, and gloves as needed.
- Willingness to work overtime on an as-needed basis.
