Job Title: Customer Service Advocate II – Call Center Position

Job Summary:
Join our dynamic team, where you will play a pivotal role in ensuring exceptional customer experiences for individuals working for the State of South Carolina. In this engaging call center position, you will provide prompt, accurate, and courteous responses to a variety of customer inquiries, utilizing your research skills to resolve non-routine issues. Job Specifications:
- Job Type: Full-Time
- Location: Columbia, South Carolina
- Pay Rate: $14-15 per hour
- Shift: 8-hour shift between 8am and 8pm

Roles and Responsibilities:
- Provide accurate and timely responses to customer inquiries via phone, written communication, web, or in-person.
- Conduct research to resolve non-routine inquiries and adapt responses as necessary.
- Document inquiries and maintain accurate records regarding customer complaints and feedback.
- Collaborate with other departments to address and resolve customer issues.
- Manage priority inquiries and assist with special projects as directed by management.
- Maintain knowledge of company policies and quality work instructions.
- Contribute to process improvements by recommending changes based on daily operations.
- Assist in training new employees and cross-training coworkers to enhance team performance.

Qualifications & Skills:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's Degree may substitute for work experience.
- Minimum of 1 year of claims processing or customer service experience preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with proficient spelling, punctuation, and grammar.
- Strong organizational and human relations skills, capable of managing high-stress situations.
- Good judgment and ability to handle confidential information discreetly.
- Proficiency in basic computer operations and standard office equipment; knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database software is preferred.
