Job Summary:
The Tax Compliance Call Center Representative is responsible for handling inbound calls from individual and business taxpayers, providing accurate information on tax compliance, delinquency, and general inquiries. The role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple systems while maintaining a professional and service-oriented attitude.
Job Description:

Handle high-volume inbound calls related to tax compliance and general tax information.

Review and update taxpayer accounts accurately and efficiently.

Educate taxpayers on online resources, payment arrangements, and current tax policies.

Resolve Tier 1-level inquiries while maintaining professionalism and accuracy.

Document all actions and updates across multiple systems.

Participate in team meetings, engagement, and performance improvement activities.

Meet daily, weekly, and monthly performance expectations.
Must Haves
-
1+ year of recent call center experience (finance, banking, insurance, or telecommunications preferred).

High school diploma or equivalent.

Excellent communication skills – verbal and written.

Strong multitasking and organizational skills in a fast-paced environment.

Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Google Workspace.

Basic math ability (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).

Must reside within 1 hour of Phoenix or Tucson and attend in-person orientation.

Ability to work flexible hours within 7:45 AM–5:15 PM, Monday–Friday.

Reliable hardwired internet connection (Wi-Fi not sufficient).
Nice to Haves

Spanish-speaking (bilingual proficiency).

Associate degree or higher.

Background in banking or finance.

Experience with process improvement or workflow optimization.

Strong customer service or hardship case-handling background.
