Customer Support Representative – Customer Service Team
Location: Avon, CT
Job Type: Temp-to-Perm
Hours: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM (35 to 37.5 hours/week based on lunch break)
Compensation: $18.00/hr | Includes Paid Lunch (up to $20/day via DineIn Connecticut)
About the Role:
We are seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented, and organized Customer Support Representative to join our growing Customer Service team. This role is essential in supporting our valued client base, primarily consisting of 65+ Medicare participants. The ideal candidate brings strong communication skills, empathy, and a problem-solving mindset to ensure members receive high-quality service and support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle incoming calls and emails with clarity, professionalism, and empathy.
- Provide knowledgeable support regarding Medicare Part D plans and insurance-related inquiries.
- Act as a liaison between members, healthcare providers, pharmacies, and insurance carriers.
- Investigate and resolve claim issues and prescription problems efficiently.
- Accurately document interactions and follow-ups in our systems.
- Navigate databases and relevant websites to retrieve and input information.
- Collaborate with team members to improve processes and resolve complex member concerns.
- Complete required compliance training to meet regulatory standards.
- Prior customer service experience, preferably in a healthcare or insurance setting.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of insurance terminology, especially Medicare Part D.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Patience, empathy, and a positive, solutions-oriented attitude.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Paid lunch: Company covers up to $20/day for food delivery via DineIn Connecticut.
