Job Title: Delivery Route Assistant
Location: Savannah, GA
Pay: $17/hour
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6am until done
Job Description:
The Delivery Route Assistant plays a vital role by assisting drivers in delivering products to customers, ensuring customer satisfaction. Responsibilities include loading and unloading products, verifying contents against invoices or inventories, and managing stock for company and retail customer accounts.
Qualifications:
Must be 18 years or older
1 – 3 years of direct experience in a similar position preferred
Responsibilities:
Provide excellent customer service by ensuring orders are delivered on time and in good condition
Assist driver with directions and package accountability
Aid in complying with Department of Transportation standards
Unload and deliver products, verifying count and condition, and report discrepancies
Communicate customer needs and concerns to the driver
Learn routes and customer expectations
Perform other assigned duties

Frequent use of hand trucks, stairs, ramps, and docks
Safely operate a company vehicle if eligible
Engage in frequent physical activities such as lifting, reaching, climbing, and carrying
Vision abilities required include close and distance vision, and the ability to judge distance
