Ultrasound Technologist Opportunity through Kelly Services
Are you an experienced Ultrasound Technologist looking to advance your career and work in a dynamic environment? Kelly Services is seeking a skilled and dedicated Ultrasound Technologist to join our team. This role offers a unique opportunity to utilize and expand your expertise in diagnostic imaging while contributing to patient care. Key Responsibilities

  • Advanced Imaging Techniques: Operate equipment independently to perform complex sonographic examinations, including but not limited to abdominal, vascular, gynecological, and intra-operative ultrasound exams.
  • Patient Care & Preparation: Prepare rooms, equipment, and materials needed for patient procedures. Explain procedures to patients to ensure understanding and cooperation.
  • Collaborative Procedures: Assist Radiologists during invasive procedures and perform routine diagnostic procedures with significant complexity.
  • Data Management & Equipment Maintenance: Obtain pertinent clinical data, maintain ultrasound equipment per manufacturer guidelines, and ensure electronic records are accurately transferred and maintained.
  • Radiation Protection: Implement radiation protection standards, devices, and techniques to ensure safety during imaging procedures.
  • Technical Proficiency: Utilize advanced imaging software, ensuring compliance with MRI safety standards, CT, IR, and other modalities. Recommend methods to prevent increased exposure during imaging.
  • Patient Positioning: Skillfully position patients for a variety of highly complex imaging studies, ensuring optimal image quality and patient comfort.
Requirements
  • Certification: Must be certified in general radiologic technology by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology, Radiography (ARRT) (R). Advanced ARRT certification required for assignments including CT, MRI, or Mammography.
  • Education: Completion of a full-time training course of at least 24 months in a post-high school diagnostic radiologic technology program accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) or other recognized accrediting agencies.
  • Experience: At least one year of experience at the next lower grade level (GS-9) demonstrating clinical competencies directly related to the position.
  • English Proficiency: Must be proficient in spoken and written English.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to handle heavy lifting (45 pounds and over), moderate carrying (15-44 pounds), prolonged standing and walking, repeated bending, and quick mental and muscular coordination. Must be capable of distinguishing basic colors and performing tasks requiring good dexterity.
