Job Title: EHS Health and Safety Leader
Location: Elmore, OH
Salary: $110,000-$130,000/year with bonus potential
Schedule: Monday-Friday first shift with some flexibility to come in early or stay later as needed
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) professional to lead the Health and Safety department, ensuring that the site achieves its objectives. The role involves working closely with the Corporate EHS team and Operations Leaders to develop and implement improvement plans that enhance culture while reducing health and safety risks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the site's industrial hygiene program, including developing and executing a comprehensive sampling strategy to protect worker health, safety, and the environment.
- Assist leadership in executing beryllium exposure reduction programs, policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Develop and implement long-range EHS improvement plans while providing counsel and leadership on industrial hygiene, exposure assessments, and beryllium exposure mitigation.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety programs related to ergonomics, noise exposure, indoor air quality, and ventilation controls.
- Prepare and deliver detailed reports on program specifics to all levels of the organization.
- Collaborate with Corporate EHS and Product Stewardship teams to drive changes and improvements on site's industrial hygiene and safety goals.
- Monitor technological advancements for program improvements.
- Maintain compliance with all regulatory health and safety requirements while continuously driving improvement efforts.
- Support the integration of human and organizational performance in site initiatives.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in an EHS field with 10+ years of experience or a Master's degree with 4 years of experience.
- Preferred: MS degree in a relevant EHS field.
- 5+ years of experience for candidates with an MS degree and 10+ years for candidates with a BS.
- Strong experience in designing and implementing control strategies, particularly in a metals manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of relevant industrial hygiene regulations and experience in developing policies and procedures based on OSHA standards.
- Proficient in data verification, correlation, analysis, and preparation of EHS reports.
- Ability to act as a technical advisor for multiple Performance Materials locations and develop and conduct training.
