Who we are: Fareva is a leading contract manufacturer of pharmaceutical and personal care products. Located at intersection of Darbytown Road and Laburnum Avenue in Eastern Henrico County. Employs 600 full time employees. Comfortable climate controlled facility covering over 745,000 square feet.
Pay: $28.00- $30.00 based on experience + 10% pay on top of hourly rate for off shift
Shift: 2nd or 3rd shift
Evening shift 3pm – 11pm
Night shift 11pm – 7am (Sunday – Thursday)
Must be able to move onto other shifts when needed
Weekends as needed
Job Overview:
Individual will maintain steady and compliant operation of high-tech automated equipment and drive continual improvement through electrical/PLC technology. Work will include electronics, electrical control systems, server and process control, hydraulics/pneumatics, basic mechanical skills, and computer literacy.
Job Responsibilities:
- Maintains and troubleshoots various types of filling and packaging equipment. Work includes the electromechanical aspects of the equipment's operation
- Maintains and troubleshoots programmable logic controllers (PLC), operator interfaces, variable frequency drives, servomotors, encoders
- Perform basic electrical troubleshooting and repair such as starters, fuses, relays, wire blocks, wiring, breakers, etc.
- Performs preventative maintenance on electrical and safety systems
- Diagnoses electrical based discrepancies on equipment with or without the use of electrical schematics. Provides written methods of operation and control of electronic systems
- Communicate problems and solutions in appropriate manner, and takes direction from multiple sources
- Maintains productive working relationships as part of a production team
- Able to discern complex electrical drawings and correlate to actual equipment/circuit layout. Able to inspect electrical control systems to trace circuitry or pinpoint potential problem areas
- Responsible for maintaining validated state of equipment, which directly impacts product quality
- Order correct repair parts for machines
- Work with maintenance personnel in troubleshooting effort
- Adheres strictly to all cGMP's, PPG's, regulatory and safety standards and procedures to ensure the quality and integrity of products and safety of employees
- Keeps working area in a clean and orderly condition according to PPG's and 5S principles
- Ensures that all machine guards, interlocks and other safety devices are properly installed and maintained in good working order. Follows established lockout procedures when working on equipment
- Willingness to work overtime as needed independently or in groups
- High School Diploma/GED
- Virginia State Journeyman's card or equivalent educational experience
- The ability to demonstrate working knowledge of mechanical/electrical principles/concepts
- The ability to communicate clearly and effectively (written and verbal)
- Excellent attention to quality and detail
- State certified or documented completion of training on NEC (National Electrical Code) - Preferred
