We are seeking an experienced Electrical-Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our partner.

This role requires the ability to work independently on all facets of electrical, industrial, and PLC technician responsibilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing, troubleshooting, maintaining production machines, and improving equipment reliability while participating in preventative and predictive maintenance practices.

Job Type: Direct Hire
Pay Rate: $40-60 per hour, based on expereince

Schedule: 1st Shift: 7:00am-3:00pm, Monday thru Friday

Key Responsibilities:

  • Independently troubleshoot, repair, and rebuild complex electrical/electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatically controlled production equipment.
  • Install and troubleshoot AC and DC circuits and equipment (24VDC, 120/208/480VAC).
  • Perform PLC programming, troubleshooting, and networking.
  • Install, program, and troubleshoot AC drives and HMI panels.
  • Plan work for proper operational sequences to minimize interference and delays in production.
  • Perform preventive maintenance as directed by equipment schedules.
  • Rebuild electrical-mechanical devices.
  • Collaborate with Engineering to design, select, modify, and adapt equipment or procedures for specific project requirements.
  • Test, calibrate, and repair electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, and electronic measuring, recording, and indicating instruments and equipment to ensure conformance to established standards.
  • Maintain accurate work records (work orders, PMs, materials, and parts) in the maintenance system.

Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field, or an advanced degree/certifications in Programmable Logic Controls (PLC) systems is a plus.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience troubleshooting, repairing, and rebuilding electrical, PLC, and hydraulic machinery, OR a minimum of 7 years of industrial experience in a skilled trade with an electrical discipline, with experience in PLC, without formal post-secondary education.
  • Must have own trade tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to install, repair, troubleshoot, and maintain machinery and equipment.
  • Formal electronic training on AC/DC circuits and advanced PLC training.
  • Working knowledge of mechanical systems and instrumentation & controls experience.
  • Strong verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Understanding of safe work practices.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.
  • Proficient in following manufacturing/equipment specifications.
  • Demonstrated mechanical skills and techniques.
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations and use blueprints and schematics.
  • Familiarity with hydraulic and electrical schematics.
  • Proficient in using computers and various hand and power tools, as well as machine tools such as drills, lathes, and millers.
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to operational hours, including strict adherence to attendance expectations.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team.
  • Respect for organizational policies and procedures, including safety and quality standards.
