Emerging Technologies Scientist

Length of assignment: 1 year, potential to extend
Location: onsite in Springhouse PA
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 1st Shift
Compensation: $25-30
Summary: Emerging Technologies, Manufacturing Science and Technology, Supply Group, part of the Supply Chain, is currently looking for a Contractor to be based in Spring House, PA. Pharmaceuticals Companies are focused on tackling and resolving significant medical needs that have yet to be met. Our range of offerings includes pharmaceuticals, biologics, and combination products. In our dedication to patients, we collaborate closely with healthcare professionals to develop sustainable healthcare solutions that are built on trust and transparency. The Contractor will have a unique opportunity to contribute to Emerging Technologies initiatives in biopharmaceutical manufacturing. They will be involved in the implementation of innovative solutions, including new manufacturing methods in upstream and downstream processing, as well as process analytical technology (PAT) sensors and modeling to support next-generation manufacturing of biopharmaceuticals.
Responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of lab experiments to support manufacturing processes in small molecule pharmaceuticals.
- Collect and curate data from PAT and other process outputs, contributing to the modeling of the data for analysis and optimization.
- Following experimental protocols and record keeping in laboratory notebooks.
Requirements:
- B.S./M.S. in physical sciences, such as, chemistry, or related science or engineering discipline or relevant industrial experience.
- At least 4 years related experience overall.
- Experience and Skills:
- Required: Background in chemistry, biology, pharmacy, or a related field. Experience with spectroscopic techniques including Raman, polarimetry, and UV-Vis. Laboratory experience with aqueous sample preparations. Familiarity with programming languages such as R, Matlab, Python, etc.
- Preferred: Familiarity with GMP environments.
