Description

Engineering Maintenance Technician (Contract to Direct)
Location: Granger, IN
Pay: $40-45 per hour DOE

Education and Experience
• Technical degree or certification in a related field is preferred. 
• 6 or more years of progressive maintenance experience with a focus on electrical and mechanical systems. 
• Advanced knowledge in LOTO procedures and practices for employees and equipment safety.  
• Ability to troubleshoot PLC ladder logic, and advanced knowledge of I/O and control wiring for equipment automation. 
• Extensive experience in troubleshooting, repairing, and installing electrical systems ranging from 24v DC to 480v AC. 
• Proficiency with VFD's DC drives, and 3-phase AC and DC motors. 
• Proficiency in diagnosing and maintaining pneumatic systems. 
• Mastery in maintaining and repairing mechanical and hydraulic systems. 
• Advanced welding and fabrication skills 

Requirements
• Ability to design and implement machine guarding and lead machine modification projects. 
• In-depth knowledge and adherence to machine safety protocols and practices
• Expertise in managing work orders, schedules, and multiple maintenance projects to minimize downtime. 
• Strong facility maintenance skills, including lighting, HVAC systems, offices, and building maintenance. 
• Proficient knowledge and hands-on experience with Water Jet, CNC Milling, Robotics and Coating Processes. 
• Ability to track, document, and demonstrate improvements in maintenance processes and equipment. 
• Maintain and uphold a high standard of cleanliness and orderliness (5s) in the maintenance area, tools, and equipment. 
• Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization. 
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to lead, mentor, and train others, for career advancement. 
• Identify and implement maintenance cost reduction initiatives to optimize resource utilization. 
• Identify and implement improvements to the maintenance system for enhanced efficiency and reliability.
• Proficiency in reading technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics. 
• Proficient computer skills. 
• Experienced in troubleshooting skills to resolve common software and hardware issues. 
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 
• Ability to lift 60lbs & climb ladders/work at heights 10-20 feet above plant floor. 
• Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends, as needed for maintenance emergencies or planned downtime.
