Description

Kelly, in partnership with a growing manufacturer, is looking for an Environmental Health and Safety Manager in Martin, SC. Our client offers a variety of unique perks; hunting, fishing, basketball courts to name a few on their 400+ acre property for you and your family at no cost!

This is a direct hire position, meaning you will be hired directly with our client and offered their benefit and vacation package upon hire.

Benefits:

  • 401k with a potential match up to 10%

  • 40 hours of vacation (flexible), 40 hours of PTO and 11 paid holidays
Details:
  • Shift: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday
  • Pay: $90,000 - $115,000 annually
  • 15% annual bonus
Job Description:
  • Improves and implements effective occupational health, safety, and environmental programs and policies, ensuring compliance with company standards and OSHA requirements.
  • Educates, motivates, and trains all personnel in good housekeeping practices, safe work procedures, PPE, etc.
  • Manages the plant personal protective equipment, work clothing and safety equipment programs according to company standards and OSHA requirements.
  • Facilitates and implements effective plant programs for the identification, prevention and control of occupational injuries and illnesses.
  • Develops and coordinates plant health and safety education and training programs. Leads the plant safety committee.
  • Maintains current awareness of applicable federal, state and local health, safety and environmental regulations.
  • Maintains legal, governmental and company environmental, health, and safety-related records according to standards, including confidentiality.
  • Reviews all manufacturing and support operations to assure ongoing safety.
  • Assists the line organization in conducting risk assessments and developing safe operating procedures for all tasks and in investigating incidents.
  • Develops and implements audit programs to review and assure compliance with applicable health and safety standards and systems.
  • The position requires significant time on the shop floor in a manufacturing setting.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of EHS Management experience
  • Experience training individuals on safety
  • Experience working with EPA, FDA, OSHA, etc.
  • Chemical experience is a plus
