Job Summary:

The Electric Pallet Jack Operator/Warehouse Associate is responsible for operating electric pallet jacks and other powered equipment to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count products within the warehouse. This role includes checking all inbound and outbound products to ensure they are free of damage and infestation, accurately recording product code dates, and confirming that products meet customer requirements.

Primary Duties:
  • Operate electric pallet jacks to load, unload, move, stock, and stage products and materials for 80% of the specified shift.
  • Pull and prepare products for shipment, ensuring the correct number and types of products are loaded onto delivery vehicles.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Comply with all OSHA and MSDS standards.
  • Verify load accuracy by checking load count, stability, and product condition; report any variances as necessary.
  • Maintain electric pallet jacks and other equipment in a neat, clean, and orderly manner.
  • Assist in conducting physical inventories and cycle counts.
  • Complete daily inspections of electric pallet jacks and other powered equipment.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management or customers.
Key Relationships:
  • Peers: Collaborate with team members to complete warehouse functions accurately and efficiently.
  • Group Coordinator/Lead: Receive work assignments and training in the operation of electric pallet jacks.
  • Management: Follow directives and adhere to company policies, practices, and procedures.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent is desirable.
  • Forklift operator certificate or satisfactory completion of a pallet jack training program within the first 30 days of employment is essential.
Experience:
  • Six months of warehouse experience and six months of experience operating electric pallet jacks is desirable.
Knowledge/Skills:
  • Essential:
  • Ability to spend 80% of time operating electric pallet jacks and other powered material handling equipment.
  • Basic familiarity with warehousing practices and inventory management.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work specified shifts.
