Kelly Services is partnering with a leading medical device manufacturer in St. Louis, MO, to hire an Extrusion Technician with hands-on experience in plastic extrusion. This is a direct hire opportunity on 1st shift, offering long-term stability and growth within a regulated manufacturing environment.
The Extrusion Technician will be responsible for setting up, operating, and troubleshooting extrusion equipment to produce high-quality plastic components used in medical devices, while adhering to strict quality and regulatory standards.
Location: St. Louis, MO
Pay Rate: $20-20.50
Schedule: 1st Shift | Hours between 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Employment Type: Direct Hire
Key Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and monitor plastic extrusion lines according to established procedures and specifications
- Perform start-ups, changeovers, and shutdowns of extrusion equipment
- Monitor product quality, dimensions, and tolerances; make adjustments as needed to maintain specifications
- Conduct in-process inspections and document results per quality requirements
- Troubleshoot extrusion processes and equipment issues to minimize downtime
- 1–3+ years of hands-on experience in plastic extrusion manufacturing
- Experience operating extrusion equipment (medical device, tubing, or precision plastics preferred)
- Ability to read and follow work instructions, specifications, and quality documentation
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed
