Description:
The Field Service Coordinator supports the departmental manager by handling customer service and warranty issues, scheduling field service work and personnel, managing material orders and field service inventory, maintaining records and reports, and providing quotes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to customer inquiries regarding service and warranty issues.
- Assist the departmental manager with scheduling and directing field service technicians and contractors, including preparing written instructions and statements of work.
- Order and ship materials needed for field or warranty work and small part orders.
- Maintain inventory of field service stock items, tools, and equipment.
- Keep accurate job records, materials lists, statistical reports, and monthly reports.
- Manage spreadsheets related to field service and warranty projects.
- Review engineering drawings, control prints, and materials lists for field assembly and upgrades.
- Assist with FS truck and trailer management, including transporting vehicles for repair, and tracking registrations, insurance, WEX cards, and related documentation.
- Ensure compliance with safety requirements and maintain appropriate equipment.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the manager to resolve all field and customer service issues.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 5-10 years of experience in construction and/or electrical work.
- Proficiency in computer operations, including MS Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Strong ability to manage a high volume of activity in varied conditions.
- Basic math skills.
- Problem-solving skills in situations with minimal standardization.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers and field technicians.
- Solid understanding of electrical wiring standards and the National Electrical Code (NEC).
- Working knowledge of general construction practices.
- Proven ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to follow instructions delivered verbally, in writing, or via drawings.
