Kelly Engineering is looking for a Field Service Technician in Erie, PA for a Heavy Industrial Manufacturing company in the area. In this role, the Field Service Technician will be responsible for repairing issues with electrical equipment. The Field Service Technician will diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and optimize electrical systems for our industrial projects. In this role, you will work on the electrical side of our industrial projects, follow safety protocols, interpret electrical schematics and blueprints, install equipment, and other supportive electrical tasks. Responsibilities:
- Read and understand electrical prints
- Use diagnostic tools to inspect and test equipment
- Identify and resolve electrical malfunctions
- Install electrical wiring, conduit and wire ways
- Troubleshoot PLC systems, standalone controllers and control elements
- Assemble and install industrial equipment
- Complete work in a timely manner with proper crew size and skill
- Work with crew to overcome challenges to keep the job on schedule
- Report daily progress to foreman
- Identify ways to improve efficiency
- Electrician Diploma or equivalent certification
- 3+ years of relevant experience with industrial electronics
- MS Office
- NFPA 86, NFPA 70E, AMS 2750E
- PLC programming
- Able to read electrical plans, schematics, and blueprints
- Combustion controls (not required)
