Job Opportunity: Field Service Technician
Location: Ladson, SC - Onsite
Duration: Temp to Perm
Shift: 7am-7pm. Work 3 days, followed by 4 days off. Then work 4 days, followed by 3 days off.
License Required: Grade A Physical/Chemical Water License
POSITION SUMMARY:
- Our client is seeking a skilled and licensed Field Service Technician with a Grade A physical/chemical water license to perform on-site service activities related to water treatment systems.
- This individual will play a critical role in ensuring regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction through safe and effective service delivery.
- Perform field service operations at customer sites, ensuring all activities comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Operate and maintain water treatment systems in compliance with provincial water quality standards.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues related to water systems.
- Monitor system performance, perform regular inspections, and make necessary adjustments to optimize operations.
Identify and correct safety hazards in both Company and Customer-owned equipment. - Provide direct customer support and training on system operation, maintenance, and compliance reporting.
- Maintain accurate service logs, inspection records, and compliance documentation.
- Ensure all service-related tools, parts, and vehicles are maintained and used properly.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Grade A Physical/Chemical Water License – Mandatory.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on technical experience in water treatment or related field.
- Strong critical thinking, troubleshooting, and mechanical aptitude.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and mobile devices.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and maintain strong attention to detail.
- Must be able to operate a company vehicle.
- Must meet all driving requirements, including:
- Driver Application for Employment
- Driver Disclosure and Release
- Drug and Alcohol Screening
- FMCSA Certificate of Awareness
- Must be able to sit, stand, walk, hear, and see consistently throughout the shift.
- Capable of lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs.
- Able to bend, push, pull, climb stairs, and work in various environments (indoor/outdoor).
- May work in conditions with noise, dust, and uneven surfaces (e.g., concrete).
