Job Title: Forklift Driver – Warehouse / Production Floor
Shift: 1st Shift
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour
Job Summary
The Forklift Driver is responsible for safely operating industrial forklifts to load, unload, move, and store materials throughout the warehouse and production floor. This role supports production operations by ensuring materials are handled efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with safety standards.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Load and unload trailers in a safe and efficient manner
- Transport materials to and from storage areas, production machines, loading docks, trucks, and rail cars
- Grade materials and place processed materials into inventory storage
- Monitor and record bale weights
- Complete all required paperwork accurately and on time
- Perform pre-shift forklift inspections
- Conduct routine preventive maintenance on forklifts
- Maintain basic knowledge of operations and procedures across all production departments
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times
- Perform other duties as assigned
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to perform intermediate arithmetic involving decimals, fractions, and ratios
- Must pass a background check and pre-employment drug screening
- Willingness to work overtime as needed
- Ability to maintain good attendance
- Ability to perform all essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
- No food or personal items allowed on the production floor (lockers available)
- Water is permitted on the production floor
- No cell phone use on the production floor
