Position: Forklift Operator (Raymond Stand Up Double Reach)
Location: Forest Park, GA
Shifts Available:

  • 5 AM - 1:30 PM ($18 per hour), Monday - Thursday & Monday - Saturday (rotating)
  • 1 PM - 9:30 PM ($18 per hour), Monday - Thursday & Monday - Saturday (rotating)
  • 9:30 PM - 6 AM ($19 per hour), Sunday - Thursday
Job Description:
Summary:
The Forklift Operator is responsible for operating powered equipment to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count products. This role includes checking all inbound and outbound products to ensure they are free from damage and infestation, verifying product code dates, and ensuring compliance with customer requirements.
Primary Duties:
  • Load, unload, move, stock, and stage products and materials using a forklift, clamp truck, or other powered equipment for 80% of the specified shift.
  • Pull and prepare products for shipment, ensuring the correct number and types of products are loaded.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports for inventory control.
  • Comply with all OSHA and MSDS standards.
  • Verify load accuracy by checking load count, stability, and product condition; report any variances as necessary.
  • Change equipment batteries or LP tanks and monitor power sources as needed.
  • Keep the facility's equipment and materials organized and clean.
  • Assist in physical inventories and complete daily equipment inspections.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management or customers.
  • Collaborate with peers to complete warehouse functions accurately.
  • Receive work assignments and training.
  • Follow directions and adhere to company policies, practices, and procedures.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Forklift operator certification or successful completion of a forklift training program within the first 30 days of employment is essential.
Experience:
  • 6 months of warehouse experience
  • 6 months of Raymond Stand Up Double Reach forklift operation experience.
Knowledge/Skills:
  • Ability to spend 80% of time operating powered material handling equipment.
  • Basic familiarity with warehousing operations.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to follow work procedures and safety rules.
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow directions/instructions.
  • Working knowledge of warehouse management systems and equipment.
Working Conditions:
  • Rarely: Pushing, pulling, lifting, or carrying 100 lbs; climbing and kneeling.
  • Occasional: Walking.
  • Constant: Sitting, standing, and operating equipment (forklift and other powered equipment).
  • Work environment consists of approximately 90% indoors and 10% outdoors, with conditions including wet/humid environments and exposure to hazards from moving parts and equipment.
Additional Information:
  • Retention pay offered.
  • Potential for some positions to transition to the customer's payroll (no guarantees).
  • Lockers and refrigerators available for employee use.
  • Must be comfortable working in a cooler (approximately 34 degrees) and a freezer (approximately -5 degrees); all necessary PPE will be provided for freezer work.
