What's a typical day as a General Operator? You'll be:
- Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Operating seed packaging and processing equipment
- Performing repetitive lifting (up to 60 lbs), standing, and climbing stairs
- Inspecting, labeling, and preparing seed shipments
- Washing and maintaining pro boxes (large seed containers)
- Working outdoors in all weather conditions (heat, rain, dust, mud, insects)
- Participating in daily team and safety meetings
- Supporting housekeeping, maintenance, and warehouse operations
- Handling seed inventory using basic computer systems
- Working rotating 12-hour shifts after initial training week
- This job might be an outstanding fit if you have:
- Ability to start on July 7, 2025 and commit to the full season
- Flexibility to work 12-hour shifts, weekends, and overtime
- Physical ability to lift, walk, and work in varying environmental conditions
- Basic English reading and speaking skills
- A safety-first mindset and ability to follow procedures
- A positive, team-oriented attitude and willingness to learn
Pay & Schedule:
Pay Rate:
• 1st Shift: $19.50/hr
• 2nd Shift: $20.50/hr
• 3rd Shift: $20.25/hr
Schedule: 40+ hours/week | Rotating shifts: Sun-Wed or Wed-Sat (6:00 AM – 6:00 PM or 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM)
Special Requirements: Steel-toed boots required
Location: Tipton, IN
Exposure: May involve contact with corn pollen, dust, bees, and variable weather conditions
