HR Administrative Assistant
Location: Albany, NY
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (One day/week: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM)
Duration: 90-Day Contract
Pay Rate: $20.00 – $30.00/hour (Based on experience) About the Opportunity:
A well-established manufacturing company in the Albany area is seeking a motivated HR Administrative Assistant to join their team on a 90-day contract. This role provides essential support to the Human Resources department, with a focus on employee relations, onboarding, and daily HR operations in a fast-paced, production-based environment.
This is a great opportunity for someone with prior HR experience who thrives in a hands-on role and enjoys engaging directly with employees across all levels of the organization. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct candidate screenings and assist with interviews and selection processes
- Facilitate new hire orientations and onboarding activities
- Review, verify, and process weekly employee timecards
- Maintain accurate personnel files and HR documentation
- Respond to employee questions and HR-related inquiries
- Support internal communication and employee engagement initiatives
- Partner with supervisors and HR leadership to ensure smooth daily operations
- Provide on-site support to warehouse employees one day per week on an early shift (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM)
- 1–3 years of experience in Human Resources or HR administration
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Professional, approachable, and positive demeanor
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
